Three Generations. Nearly 50 Years of Caring for Our Community.

Budget Drugs began in October 1977, when Harold, his father Robert “Bobby,” and their partner Doron opened Condo Drugs on East Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Bobby served as the family pharmacist, while Harold brought his entrepreneurial spirit to the business, and Ruth, Bobby's wife, could often be found greeting customers from the front register.

In the mid-1980s, Condo Drugs became Budget Drugs. In 1990, Harold sold the pharmacy to his brother-in-law Scott, continuing the business's family connection into its next chapter. While partners and roles have evolved over the years, one thing has remained constant: a member of our family has always been part of the ownership and care behind Budget Drugs.

Today, that tradition continues with Scott and his niece Lauren, a pharmacist and third-generation family owner, alongside longtime team member and partner Hector. Nearly 50 years after our doors first opened, Budget Drugs continues to grow and evolve while holding onto the values we started with: personal relationships, trusted care, and treating our patients like family.
